Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia (よこはま動物園ズーラシア) is one of Japan's newest, largest, and most thoughtfully designed zoos, opened in 1999 in Asahi Ward, Yokohama. Spanning approximately 53 hectares, it is one of the largest zoos in Japan by area, and its commitment to naturalistic habitats, species conservation, and educational programming has made it a benchmark for modern Japanese zoological design.
