One of China's Largest Urban Zoos
Shanghai Zoo is one of China's largest and most visited urban zoos, located in the Changning district on Shanghai's western side. Covering 74 hectares, it is home to over 6,000 animals from more than 620 species — one of the most diverse animal collections in China — and has been a beloved Shanghai institution since opening in 1954.
