India's Most Visited Zoo
Mysore Zoo (Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens) is India's most visited zoo, established in 1892 and located in the heart of the royal city of Mysuru (Mysore) in Karnataka. One of the oldest and most celebrated zoos in Asia, it is home to over 168 species and more than 1,500 animals in beautifully landscaped gardens adjacent to the famous Mysore Palace.
