Singapore's Newest Wildlife Park
Rainforest Wild Asia is the newest wildlife park at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, opened in March 2025 as the fifth park in Singapore's world-class wildlife destination cluster. Covering 13 hectares of immersive Asian rainforest, it invites guests to explore wildlife across 10 zones — from tree canopies to underground cave chambers — experiencing Asia's extraordinary biodiversity in a groundbreaking format that blurs the line between nature reserve and zoo.
🌿 Ten Habitat Zones
Canopy Level:
- Elevated walkways through the tree canopy where gibbons, hornbills, and tree-dwelling species inhabit the upper forest
- Gibbon Walk – Observe white-handed gibbons swinging at eye level
Forest Floor:
- Sun Bear Forest – Malayan sun bears in a naturalistic forest habitat
- Clouded Leopard Lair – Asia's elusive spotted cats in dense jungle setting
- Binturong Hideaway – The bear-cat of Southeast Asia
Cave & Underground:
- Subterranean Labyrinth – Walk through cave chambers housing cave-dwelling species including bats, cave fish, and invertebrates — a unique attraction found in no other zoo
Wetlands & River:
- Asian Freshwater Zone – River otters, fishing cats, and aquatic Asian species
- Giant Freshwater Stingray – One of the world's largest freshwater fish on display
🌏 Conservation Mission
Rainforest Wild Asia was developed to spotlight the biodiversity crisis in Asian rainforests — among the world's most threatened ecosystems. Every animal in the park is from Asia, and the park's conservation narrative is focused on habitat preservation in Southeast Asia and beyond.
