Auckland Zoo is New Zealand's largest and most visited zoo, home to over 135 species and more than 1,400 animals set across 16 hectares in the heart of Western Springs, just minutes from Auckland's CBD. 🌿 Conservation
Auckland Zoo is a founding member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association and runs major programmes to protect threatened New Zealand species including the kiwi, kākāpō, tuatara, and New Zealand sea lion. The zoo operates an on-site Wildlife Hospital treating native animals from across the Auckland region.
