Northern Thailand's Scenic Wildlife Destination
Chiang Mai Zoo is one of Thailand's most popular and beautifully situated zoos, spread across 100 hectares of forested hillside at the foot of Doi Suthep mountain in northern Thailand. Founded in 1952 from a private animal collection, it has grown into a major wildlife institution home to over 7,000 animals from more than 400 species.
🐼 Giant Pandas – Star Attraction
Chiang Mai Zoo is home to Lin Hui and Chuang Chuang's offspring — the pandas have been a centrepiece of the zoo and a symbol of Thai-Chinese diplomacy. The Giant Panda House is the zoo's most visited exhibit.
