Indonesia's Second City Zoo
Surabaya Zoo (Kebun Binatang Surabaya) is the oldest zoo in Southeast Asia, founded in 1916 during the Dutch colonial period, and is located in central Surabaya — Indonesia's second largest city and East Java's capital. Covering 15 hectares in the heart of the city, it is home to over 2,800 animals from more than 350 species.
