Australia's Open Range Zoo
Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, central New South Wales, is one of Australia's most unique zoo experiences — a vast open range zoo spanning over 300 hectares of open plains, where animals roam in large, naturalistic environments rather than traditional enclosures. Operated by the Taronga Conservation Society, it is unlike any other zoo in Australia.

🌿 Conservation Breeding
Western Plains Zoo runs critically important breeding programs for white rhino, giraffe, cheetah, Przewalski's horse, and numerous threatened Australian species.
